219 Pupils in Muscatine County Rural Schools
Establish Perfect Attendance Records
in Past Year

Perfect attendance records held by 219 pupils in the Muscatine county rural grade schools during the 1936-37 school year were announced today at the office of E. D. Bradley, county superintendent of schools. Montpelier township led the list with 31 pupils in schools of the township having been neither absent nor tardy from classes during that period. Stockton districts were close behind with 28, while Sweetland township had 25. The attendance record for the year just closed is considerably above that for 1935-36 when bitter cold weather and snow-blocked roads combined to balk regular attendance to cause complete suspension of classes in some cases. Following is the perfect attendance list for the county by districts and schools:
