RURAL SCHOOLS SCHEDULE PLANS

Prof. Royal Holbrook Named to Deliver Commencement Address.

Plans for Muscatine county’s rural school commencement program were virtually complete today and teachers throughout the area were preparing lists of graduates which, when completed, are expected to total more than 100 eighth grade pupils.

The exercises are to be held June 7 in Muscatine, probably at one of the school buildings, E. D. Bradley, county superintendent, said.

Prof. Royal Holbrook, field man for Iowa State college, has been obtained as principal speaker, Mr. Bradley has announced, and C. A. Fullerton, State Teachers college man, will be on hand to lead the singing.

A feature of the program , in addition to the presentation of diplomas and the graduation address, will be the performance of the rural school chorus.

Between two and three hundred voices will take part in the chorus, Mr. Bradley said, singing the 10 songs on the state list, some of them in two parts.

The complete graduation list will probably not be complete until late this month of very early in Jun.
