ANNOUNCE PROGRAM FOR GRADUATION

EXERCISES AT HIGH SCHOOL THURSDAY EVENING.

Address by Prof. W. C. Wilcox To Be Feature of the Evening – Many to Receive Diplomas.

The program for the exercises Thursday evening at the high school when the first class of rural graduates will receive their diplomas, has just been announced. Thirty-three will receive their diplomas from County Superintendent M. F. Cronin. The graduates are those who have just completed the eighth grade work and have successfully passed the stiff examinations given at the court house a short time ago. The program follows:

Program.

Music – Muscatine High School orchestra.
Recitation - Gertrude Gertenbach.
Essay, “The Study of Birds” – Francis Gale McClean.
Recitation – Norma soltwedel.
Essay, “The American boy – Harold Krahl.
Music – Orchestra.
Recitation – Edna McIntire.
Essay, “The Value of an Education to the Country Goy” – Orval Brockett.
Address, “What Does an Education Mean in Iowa in 1910?”- Prof. W. C. Wilcox, State University of Iowa.
Presentation of Diplomas – M. F. Cronin, county superintendent of schools.
Music – Orchestra.
Class colors – Cardinal and white.
Class motto – “Dig.”

The Graduates.

Under the new system of holding examinations, each pupil is quizzed under the direct supervision of the county superintendent at the court house. The following are those who will graduate Thursday evening and all have remarkably high standings:
