MODEL SCHOOL STRUCTURE TO BE DEDICATED MONDAY
Photo of New and Old School Building.

Lacey school in Pike township, a model one-room country school will be formally dedicated at ceremonies Monday evening, Nov. 4. The date of dedication was originally set for Friday evening, but officials postponed the time because of weather and road conditions so that all will have an opportunity to participate.

The picture shows the new structure and beside it the smaller school which served the district for many years. The new school is one of the most modern and best equipped to be found in the state or in this section of the country. Four other model schools are located in that township, the Adams school being a new structure and the other two buildings being reconstructed until they meet the latest requirements for a country school.

Former pupils, teachers and residents of the township will join with school officials in the dedicatory exercises, a homecoming program being arranged for that time. Programs by present pupils selections by former pupils and teachers, addresses by Attorney G. Allbee and E. D. Bradley, county superintendent of schools are on the program.
