WENDELL MILLS FAMILY
Nichols, Iowa Centennial Book 1884-1984, pages 268Wendell “Poody” Mills was the son of Fred David Mills and Odetta Arnold Mills. Fred and Odetta were married 21 February 1923. Fred died in October 1980. He farmed in the Nichols area all his life. He was a son of Joshua Mills and Laura Schildberg Mills. Odetta was a daughter of John Arnold and Emma Meyers Arnold. They had five children, Belva June Mills, Mervin Mills, Kenton Mills, Wendell Mills and Mary Lou Mills.
Patricia Nolan was born to Clarence “Froggy” Nolan and Theresa M. Hinrichs Nolan. Froggy and Theresa celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary in1983. At this writing [1984] they are still living. Theresa was a nurse. Froggy was well known in the Muscatine area, a great one for hunting and fishing. By occupation, he was a barber all his life. Froggy was born in the Irish community of Ardon, Iowa. They had three children, Dorothy Nolan, Paul Nolan and Patricia Nolan.
Wendell Mills and Patricia Mills were parents of three children, Therese Mills, Scott Mills and Craig Mills.
Therese Mills is married to Mernon Peck, Jr., and they have a daughter, Tricia Peck.
Scott G. Mills married Jan Zaehringer, and they have two children, Joshua Nolan Mills and Jacob Scott Mills.
Craig Robert Mills is the third child of Wendell Mills and Patricia Nolan Mills.
