TYSON PRIEST’S FAMILY
Nichols, Iowa Centennial Book 1884-1984, page 334
By Tyson Priest

I came to Nichols when my father bought the old Black home on Nichols avenue. It was built in the late 1800s.
My father, John Priest, is a veteran, original from Missouri. My brother, John Priest, was born in Massachusetts, and my sister, Tiffany Priest and I were born in California. The youngest, Alex Priest, was born at Nichols.
My favorite pastime is drawing. Mother suggested entering a train engine drawing for the Nichols Centennial book. My drawing of the old train engine was chosen.
I will graduate from West Liberty High school and go somewhere to college. I’ll look at the 1984 Centennial book and remember my growing up years in Nichols.
