By Bob BuserRobert Ivan Buser was born 14 August 1932 at Conesville, the son of Jack M. Buser and Margery M. Schildberg Buser. He was married to Bonnie Rae J. Smith in St. Joseph’s Catholic church in West Liberty. Bonnie is a daughter of Glen P. Smith and Josephine Smith. She was born in Iowa City.
Robert and Bonnie bought the farm near Nichols and have lived there since that time. Their hobbies are farming, hunting and fishing. They are parents of nine children: Robin Buser, Mike Buser, Susan Buser, Brian Buser, Mary Jo Buser, David Buser, Dan Buser and Steve Buser.
Robin Kay Buser, daughter of Robert and Bonnie Buser, was born in Washington, Iowa. Robin graduated from high school and from the University of Northern Iowa. She was married in Iowa City to James Van Nostrand, son of Mr. and Mrs. Maurice Van Nostrand. She earned a master’s degree in education and is currently [1984] teaching third grade in New York.
R. Mike Buser, son of Robert and Bonnie Buser, was born in Washington, Iowa. Mike graduated from high school and from Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa.
Susan Elaine Buser, daughter of Robert and Bonnie Buser, was born in Washington, Iowa. She finished high school and was married to Victor Colon, son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Colon, in St. Mary’s church in Muscatine.
Brian Patrick Buser, son of Robert and Bonnie Buser, was born in Washington, Iowa. He graduated from high school. One of the most memorable events in his life was when he was bitten by a rattlesnake in the garage on the farm.
Mary Jo Buser, daughter of Robert and Bonnie Buser, was born in Washington, Iowa. She completed high school and married Eldon Blessing, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ed Blessing.
David Allen Buser, son of Robert and Bonnie Buser, was born in Washington, Iowa. He finished high school.
Daniel Glen Buser, son of Robert and Bonnie Buser, was born in Washington, Iowa. Dan completed his high school education.
Steven Paul Buser, son of Robert and Bonnie Buser, was born in Iowa City. He will graduate from high school.
Angela Dawn Buser, daughter of Robert and Bonnie Buser was born in Iowa City, She is still attending school [1984].
