         George Alfred Hollenbeck, son of Ulysses Hollenbeck and Katherine Schmitt Hollenbeck, was born 4 October 1893 and died 27 March 1964. He was married to Winifred Jane Wasson on 26 June 1916. Their children are Merle Glenn Hollenbeck, Frances Marie Hollenbeck, Leo Marion Hollenbeck, William Grant Hollenbeck, Gayle Alfred Hollenbeck and Virgil George Hollenbeck.
         Merle Glenn Hollenbeck married Emma Hogan, and they were parents of one son, Harold Hollenbeck. Merle married, second, Frances Hines; their children were Patty Hollenbeck, James Dean Hollenbeck and Carolyn Ann Hollenbeck.
         Merle served in the U. S. Army. He lived in the Tri-Cities, where he farmed and worked at the Arsenal. His later years were spent in Missouri in a restaurant and tavern which he operated. Patty Hollenbeck, daughter of Merle and Frances, was born and died in 1942.
         James Dean Hollenbeck married Judith Durst. They live in Hennessey, Oklahoma. Their children are James Scott Hollenbeck, John Allen Hollenbeck, Joy LeAnn Hollenbeck and Jason Edward Hollenbeck. James Scott Hollenbeck was married to Myra Barner.
         Carolyn Ann Hollenbeck, daughter of Merle and Frances, married Tarry Brossart, and they live in Muscatine. They are parents of Barbara Jean Brossart and Michelle Ann Brossart.
         Leo Marion Hollenbeck, a son of George and Winifred, married Bonnie Helen Morrison. Leo served in the U. S. Army. He presently lives near Letts, Iowa. He has farmed, and he has worked off the farm. At the present time he works for the City of Muscatine driving a Dial-A-Ride bus to transport elderly and handicapped people from one place to another. Leo and Bonnie’s children are Leo Marion Hollenbeck, Jr. and Jane Louise Hollenbeck.
         Leo Hollenbeck, Jr., married Elizabeth Ann Radke. They are parents of two children: Darin Dewayne Hollenbeck and Brian Alan Hollenbeck.
         Jane Louise Hollenbeck was married to Robert Allen Stepanek. They are divorced, and Jane lives in Letts, Iowa, with her son, Jon Allen Stepanek. Another son, Jody Aaron Stepanek, was born 14 August 1974 and died 15 August 1974.
         William Grant Hollenbeck, a son of George and Winifred, was married to Loretta Borgstadt Pike. Loretta was born 1 January 1921 and died 15 January 1980. He married, second, Nancy Caldwell.
         Bill and Loretta had three daughters: Luana Marie Hollenbeck was born 23 August 1948, died in September 1968. Ruth Ann Hollenbeck and Patti Marlene Hollenbeck are the daughters of Bill and Loretta. Ruth Ann Hollenbeck had twins, Elizabeth Ann Hollenbeck and Cori Marie Hollenbeck.
         Bill served in the U.S. Army. He farmed in the Nichols area and later moved to Mesa, Arizona, where he works for the Mesa school system and is also a realtor.
         Gayle Alfred Hollenbeck married Sally Sutton. They were divorced. Gayle lives in West Liberty. He served in the U. S. Navy. He farmed around the Nichols and West Liberty areas for several years, and now drives a truck, going from state to state.
         Children of Gayle and Sally Hollenbeck are: Jay Gable Hollenbeck, Michael Douglas Hollenbeck, and Brenda Gayle Hollenbeck. Jay Hollenbeck had a son, Jason Hollenbeck.
         Virgil George Hollenbeck married Karen Beukenhorst. They are divorced. Virgil farmed with his father for several years and was also a truck driver.
         The children of Virgil and Karen Hollenbeck are: Lori Ann Hollenbeck and Jeffrey Scott Hollenbeck. Lori Ann Hollenbeck was married to Daniel Griffin, and their son is Shane Christopher Griffin.
