BERNARD AND VALERIA WIESKAMP

         Bernard Henry Wieskamp married Valeria “Poots” Marie Schaapveld on 18 February 1943 in Muscatine. After their marriage they lived in Muscatine and then moved to Fruitland. In 1951 they moved back to Muscatine.
         Bernie began working with Carver Pump, Muscatine in 1942 for eight years. He began working for Red Jacket in Davenport in 1951 and stayed there until he retired in 1977.
         Poots worked at the Grain Processing company and the Elks club, after which she worked for Plamor Lanes for almost thirty years.
         Poots passed away on 10 April 1980. She is buried in St. Mary’s cemetery, Muscatine. Bernie moved to L & B Trailer park, Muscatine.
         Bernie and Poots had ten children:
         Robert Joseph Wieskamp was born in Muscatine. He is married to Joyce Schmidt, and they live in Muscatine.
         Joan Marie Wieskamp was born in Muscatine. She is married to Jerry Lackey, and they live in Wilton, Iowa.
         William Eugene Wieskamp was born in Muscatine, where he is living [1984].
         Michael James Wieskamp was born in Muscatine. He is married to Dee Ann Henning, and they are living in Anchorage, Alaska.
         Thomas Leo Wieskamp was born in Muscatine. His wife is Sharon Wingerter, and they live in Muscatine.
         Mary Kay Wieskamp Adams was born in Muscatine and continues to live there.
         David Allen Wieskamp was born in Muscatine and he lives in Muscatine.
         Elizabeth Anne Wieskamp was born in Muscatine. She is married to Kenneth J. Glaspie, and they live in Muscatine.
         Gregory Wayne Wieskamp was born in Muscatine. He is married to Judy Steinocher, and their residence is in Nichols.
         Kevin Anthony Wieskamp was born in Muscatine, where he lives.

         Gregory Wayne Wieskamp was born in Muscatine. He married Judy Kay Steinocher. They first made their home in rural Lone Tree, then moved to 204 Short street in Nichols. They have two children, Brian Jacob Wieskamp and Melissa Kay Wieskamp. Greg is employed as a mechanic at Plamor Lanes, Muscatine, and Judy is at home with their children.
