Hintermeister- Benz Wedding.

A very happy event took place Wednesday evening at the handsome and ???odious home of Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Hintermeister, four miles west of the city on the Burlington road. It was the occasion of the marriage of their eldest son, John William Hintermeister to Miss Zula Pearl Benz, youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Mathias Benz of Fruitland township, Muscatine county.

A few minutes after seven o’clock to the music of a beautiful wedding march played by Miss Minerva Hartman, the young couple entered the parlor attended by Oliver Hintermeister as groomsman and Miss Agusta Kleist as bridesmaid, where under a pretty ever green arch bedecked with roses, the marriage ceremony was performed by the Rev. J.N. Elliott of the First Presbyterian church of Muscatine.

After receiving the hearty congratulations and well wishes of guests, all sat down at a table most artistically adorned and weighted with the good things of a sumptuous wedding supper. After supper the happy evening passed all too quickly with music, merry jest and pleasant conversation, and the mid-night hour arrived before the guests began to take their departure.

The bride is a brunette, tall, slender, and handsome. She looked exceeding charming in a suit of fawn colored cloth. The groom was dressed in a becoming suit of black. A large number of beautiful and useful present, evidenced the esteem in which this worthy young couple is held by their many friends. They begin life together under the most promising auspices, followed by the good wishes of acquaintances and friends for a long and prosperous wedded life.

They will reside on a farm in Seventy-six township, about six miles southwest of town.

Cochran, Misses Lilly and Esther Boysox, of Davenport; Mr. and Mrs. J. Hintermeister. Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Hartman, Mr. and Mrs. H. Vanatta, Mr. and Mrs. Healey, Mr. and Mrs. J. Will, Mr. and Mrs. E. Will, Mr. and Mrs. H. Funck, Mr. and Mrs. S. Vanatta, Mr. and Mrs. J. Vanatta, Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Rider and daughter, Mrs. Loper, Mr. and Mrs. Hogan, Miss Minerva and Mr. Frank Hartman, Miss Teufel, of Moscow; Rev. and Mrs. J. N. Elliott, Mr. and Mr. J.J.
