Shuler, George W. ~ 4 October 1853 – 6 February 1928

Hintermeister, Mary Catharine ~ 8 August 1856 – 9 May 1907

Married 6 March 1879

“Stuhler - Heudermeister”

“This is a very happy and auspicious union. The families united were old and warm friends in the Faderland and we believe the parents came to this country on the same ship. Long years of patient industry and honorable endeavor have brought wealth and social position to both families. The old people renew their youth in the presence of the happiness of their children and the friendship begun in the old country is cemented anew in this new land and perpetuated in this loving union of their children. The young wife is not wholly a stranger in Monticello for having visited here some months ago at which time she made many friends who will be glad to welcome her permanent return, this so agreeable and cultured lady.

“The fortunate young husband has grown up here since boyhood and belongs to that class of young men who are to make the solid men of the future. We congratulate the young people and wish them many years of mutual happiness and prosperity, and not less, do we congratulate the parents upon both sides upon the realization of their hopes and ambitions for their children in this happy and auspicious marriage.”
