Wednesday evening at 8 o'clock at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. H. S. Howe, 911 East Ninth street, was solemnized the marriage of their daughter, Miss Sarah A. Howe, to Eugene C. Nelson. The ceremony was performed by Dr. C. L. Stafford, pastor of the First Methodist church. The bride and groom entered the parlor unattended, preceded by Dr. Stafford. The mantle in the east side of the room was massed with roses, carnations, smilax and evergreen, and directly above it was a floral arch. It was directly in front of this that the marriage vows were taken. During the evening refreshments were served to the hundred friends and relatives, the supper being presided over by Mrs. Fred E. George, sister of the bride. She was assisted by Misses Mamie Chayka and Katie Shafer. Many handsome presents were left at the home during the afternoon and evening. Mr. and Mrs. Howe will be at home immediately at 301 West Third street.
