Our Yesterdays, 100 years: Squire Rowan had to get up early to do business in the matrimonial line this morning. The Squire married Freeman Brewer and Miss Sarah Essex at 8 a.m. the earliest opening of the "Marriage Parlor" on record.

Note from June Brewer Welsch: Freeman and Sarah Brewer were my grandparents.
