DIANE SNAVELY WATSON Diane attended Old Garfield from 1945 thru 1951, 1st thru 6th grades. She lived at 1013 Oregon Street. Her father Kenneth Snavely still lives at that house to this day. She married Donald Watson, a farm boy from Letts, Iowa 33 years ago. They now have 2 sons, Donald Watson, Jr, who is 31 years old and Ken Watson who is 28 years old. They have 3 granddaughters. Her husband is retired (Plant Closing Retirement) from International Harvester, Farmall Plant in Rock Island, Illinois. He now works for JACKS part time.
Diane has been employed for the last 18 years with the Muscatine Community school District as a teacher’s aide and office clerk at Franklin Elementary School. Franklin is now a "sister school" with Garfield. Garfield has the students from their area and Franklin area, grades Kindergarten through second. Franklin has the same students when they enter third thru 5th grades.
Diane has many fond memories of the teachers, staff and students that she attended Old Garfield with. She has done an outstanding job in getting the reunion off the ground and we need to give her a nice round of applause.
