NANCY CARPENTER SWAB Nancy and her sister Pat are the daughters of Fred and Elizabeth Carpenter. Both Nancy and Pat attended Old Garfield as did their father Fred. Nancy attended Old Garfield from 1941 -1946 and then on to Ole Muskie High. In 1956 she married Paul Swab and they had 2 children, 1 daughter and 1 son. There two children presented Nancy and Paul with 1 granddaughter and 2 grandsons. Nancy worked for a while at the Credit Union and Kent Feeds prior to retiring to become a full time house wife and mother. Her husband Paul worked for Thatcher Plastics until its closing and will be retired in January 1998. Nancy and Paul travel at times to visit their daughter who lives in Louisville, Kentucky. Nancy also told me that Pat lives in Columbus, Indiana and works at the Wal-Mart store in Columbus. She is also looking forward to seeing old classmates and finds at the reunion.

NANCY CARPENTER SWAB attended Old Garfield from 1942 thru 1949 and then went on to MHS. She married Paul Swab September 22, 1956 and they had 2 children: Paula Swab Varner 38 and Michael F Swab 36. They have 3 grandchildren: Janey Varner 9; Austin 6 and Jared 1. Paul is retired from Thatcher Plastic and she continues to be a housewife. Nancy remembers most of her classmates from Old Garfield. Four of her 40th High School reunion classmates of (1955) was spent in Las Vegas 3 years ago. Those attending with her were; Harold Carpenter, Kay Schubich Ackerson, Esther Swick Lyons and of course Nancy. She served on the Garfield Committee for the 1998 reunion.
