ROBERT K. STOHR Bob was born July 26, 1913 at 1117 Oregon Street, South-end. His education started at Old Garfield School August 1918 graduating January 20, 1927 and then on to High School 1927-1931. The High School he attended was on Iowa Ave. (It would be the Junior High that most of us attended). Muscatine Junior College 1931-1933. University of Iowa 1933-1937 with a BA in 1935 and Law Degree in 1937.
In June 1937 he opened a Law Office and in 1939 he was elected Muscatine City Attorney. On December 20, 1940 he married Esther Coon and with WWII going on he served his country by enlisting in the US Marine Corps from June 1942- April 1946. He returned to Law Practice from 1946-1965. In 1965 he was appointed District Court Judge a position he held till his retirement in July 1991.
His wife died March 14, 1994. They have 1 daughter Karen Stohr Hintermeister, and she gave them 3 grandchildren, Mindy, Mike, and Lisa. These 3 children gave them 2 grandsons Derrick and David Bueno.
