ZELLA ESTABROOK SANDER Zella is one of the five children of Lula and West Estabrook. Brother Harold, sister Thelma, Darlene and Shirley. She attended Old Garfield from 1934 thru 1941 while living at 209 Dewey Ave. In 1944 she married Charles Staley who was in the Army at the time. They lived in Oregon for a short time before he left the Army. They returned to Muscatine later on. They had 3 children, Barbara, Dennis and LuAnn. They were divorced in 1958 and Zella remarried in 1977 to a Boat Captain (See icon) by the name of Henry Sander.
Zella worked for H. J. Heinz for about 15 years until her health forced her to retire. She has 10 grandchildren and 4 great grand kids. Her interests are Craft Club, traveling and camping in their motor home. She enjoys a good game of cards. She is very active in the Moose Lodge and the Eagles Lodge. She has also been a Cub and Girl Scout leader. She was a foster home provider and cared for several children through the years. Her greatest joy is her children, grandchildren and great grand kids.

ZELLA ESTABROOK married Henry D. Sander June 6, 1975 and they had 3 children Barbara Saltz 50; Denies Staley 47 and Sue Ann Garrett 43. She retired from h. J. Heinz and he is a boat captain. Zella attended Old Garfield for 7 years. She currently spends her time being a housewife.
