ERNEST JAMES attended old Garfield from 1913 thru 1921 and then on to MHS. He married Elizabeth June 24, 1936 and they have the following children: Gary 60; Dr. Melody B. James (Merritt) 45 and Lynn V. James (Paul) 54. They owned and operated James grocery on Clinton street in what I used to call Slough Town. He has since retired from the Grocery business and his wife has since retired as a school teacher and homemaker.
