THE HOPKINS FAMILY RICHARD HOPKINS attended Old Garfield from 1940 thru 1946 and he remembers Mrs. Rose Wellons the best. He went on to make the Military his career and is now retired. He married the former Miss Ayako (Jackie) Sasake in 24 Jan 1973 and they have no children. She is a housewife.
DONALD FRED HOPKINS attended Old Garfield from 1941 thru 1948. After school he went into the construction business as a contractor. He married the former Carolyne McAfee on 6 May 1961 and they have 4 children; Ben, Laurie, Jeff and Dianna. They still reside in Muscatine.
