BEVERLY COZAD HERLEIN attended Old Garfield from 1941 thru 1946 and then on to MHS. She then married Kenneth Herlein May 19, 1951 and they had the following children: Pamela, Steven, Roxanne, Bonnie and Jeffery. She is a Home Health Aide.
She remembers having to line up in rows by grades in the mornings in front of the school and file into the school when the bell rang. Ms. Othmer stood by the door and greeted the children as they went in.
She also remembers Ms. Stocker the art teacher. She tells us that the paths of Ms Stocker and hers would cross later in life. Ms. Stocker was a resident of Lutheran Homes and Beverly was a C.N.A. at Lutheran Homes.
