MARCIE COLBERG BYRD attended Old Garfield from 1938 thru 1943. After MHS she married a young man from the U. A. Air Force .He is retired now and she is still a housewife. I remember Marcie as a cheerleader from MHS and met them several times while I was stationed overseas in the Air Force. They have 3 children: Pamela 46, Karon 40 and Cindy 45. She remembers standing on the risers while repeating the Easter story and Christmas story verse by verse every year. She had 1 brother, Max and 2 sister Bonnie and Lila who all attended Old Garfield. She regrets that she will not be able to attend the reunion this year.
