PEGGY LAW BEAN

    Peggy Law married Bernard Bean and was married for 30 years prior to his death 8 years ago. This marriage produced three sons for them. Harry Bean is married to Doreen Snavely Schmelzer's daughter and they have 1 daughter. Bradley Bean is married to Deanna Seitz and they have 3 children. One of their children is deceased and his name was Richard. Peggy is currently being courted by Larry Ford (MHS 1956) for the last 5 years. Her brother Tom was 2 years behind her in school. He is an Iowa State Trooper and is about to retire after 32 years. He married Patricia Plagman from Floyd, Iowa and they have 4 children; Tommy (also a State Trooper); Brian; Randy (Who is a city police man in Des Moines, Iowa) and Lori. Tom has 9 grandchildren. He currently lives at Holiday Lake near Brooklyn, Iowa. Peggy states that there are a lot of "Lawmen" in the Law family.

    Her father (Elwood) worked for the Sheriff’'s and Police Departments in the Muscatine area prior to retiring in 1984. Her youngest brother Donnie was a state trooper for 10 years. Her middle brother wanted to be a truck driver and that is what he is doing now. Her mother still lives at L & B Mobile home park and was a Scout leader with Arlene Witkoske Stanton for a few years. I might add that Peggy has written articles for this reunion and has sent me some pictures to use in this booklet.
