This burial plot is located near the 'back corner' of the Cedar Bluff Refuge and is surrounded by it on three sides and roads to it have been abandoned by the county.

This burial plot database was compiled for you, by Dave Munday, who's gggggrandfather, Joseph Edgington is buried here. He walked thru this burial plot, after a challenging hike to reach and locate this cemetery. Dave Dunston converted this database over to html so it could be put online. This cemetery was deeded to Muscatine County in the 1840's by Joseph Edgington (1780-?). Edgin(g)ton Burial Plot is said to have held at one time 40+ headstones. There is now one complete stone and fragments of two others. The missing stones are said to be part of a foundation on a Letts home. Last known burial here was during the 1940's according to a neighbor.
