SEVENTY-SIX TOWNSHIP. SEVENTY-SIX is regarded as one of the best townships in Muscatine County, and comprises township 76, north of range 3 west, with exception of that portion in the southeast part, lying east of Keokuk Lake and Muscatine Slough. The main body of land is prairie, and the farms among the best cultivated in the county. There is no village in the township, its inhabitants trading at Letts, in Louisa County, and at the city of Muscatine.
