ISAAC J. PURVIS, farmer, Sec.21; P. O. West Liberty; was born in New York in 1830; removed with his parents to Ohio when about 2 years old; remained until 1852, then removed to Iowa, locating in Muscatine Co. Married in 1854, Miss Mary Wright at West Liberty; she is a native of Ohio; they have seven children--- Charle, Amanda, Linna, Nellie, Mabel, Lorena, and Mattie. Mr. P. is a brick-maker by trade, which he followed for some years; is now a farmer. Is a stanch Republican.
