JAMES PATTERSON, Sec 24; P. O. Muscatine; born in Fayette Co., Penn., Jan. 14, 1813; at 13 years of age he removed, with his parents, to Hamilton Co., Ohio; in 1826 removed to Union Co., Ind., and remained till 1856, when they removed to Rock Island Co., Ill. ; in November, 1866, came to Muscatine, and remained six years; March 12, 1872,. moved to where he now lives. Married Miss Sarah Brandenburg, Feb. 14, 1839, who was born in Union Co., Ind., Aug. 22, 1815, and died April 22, 1866; have one son and one daughter--Viola, now Mrs. Barger, and George B, and twelve deceased; Mr. Patterson owns 257 acres of land.
