JOUT MAXSON, Postmaster, West Liberty; born in Harrison Co., Ohio, in 1833; came to Iowa in 1838, and located in Cedar Co. Mr. Maxson settled in West Liberty in 1864. Married Lorencie Haven in 1871; she was born in Vermont; have four children---Dora, Willie, Hal, and Barrel. Republican.
