T. R. FITZGERALD, attorney at law, of the firm of Hanna, Fitzgerald & Hughes, Muscatine; was born in St. Joseph, Mich., March 5, 1843; when 10 years of age, he went to the city of New York, where he remained four years and attended school; he came to Iowa in 1871, and studied law with Senator Hanna, and was admitted to the bar in 1873; since then he has profession here; he has held the office of City Alderman, and was elected Mayor of the city in 1877. He married Miss Esther Hanna, the daughter of Hon. Thomas Hanna, May 20, 1868; they have three children--Belle, Hiram and Fanny.
