A class of 47 young men and women--including four sets of twins-- the largest class ever to graduate in the history of Wilton high school, was presented with diplomas at the 57th annual commencement exercises at the high school auditorium last Thursday evening.
Impressive ceremonies were held in the presence of more than 900 persons in the school auditorium.

The three who attained perfect attendance records throughout their high school careers received certificates and gold pins. They were: Ruby and Ruth Erickson and Clara Bicknese.
The twin members of the graduating class were: Ruby and Ruth Erickson, John and Mildred Osmers, Marvin and Mildred Brown, Lloyd and Floyd owens.
Dr. G. H. Minninga, director of personnel at Central college, Pella, Ia., addressed the graduates on the theme "The Covered Wagon." He spoke of youth as the age of adventure and referred to youth at the time of graduation as at the turn of the road in life's adventure.
Musical numbers were offered by the ninth grade girls chorus and by a girls' quartet.
L. A. Schnack, high school faculty member, introduced the speaker.
Leo Nopoulos, Senior class President gave a talk. Rev. C. W. Pfeiffer gave the invocation and Rev. J. M. Newgard the benediction.~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ Back to the Alumni Index Page
