Purpose:
The Muscatine County Genealogical Society was organized to assist individuals
in their genealogical research. It is a non-profit organization whose aim is to
foster an interest in genealogy, gather and preserve genealogy and historical data.

Meetings:
Place: Iowa State University, Muscatine County Extension Office
1601 Plaza Place, Muscatine, Iowa
Time: 1:00 p.m.
Date: Held on the third Saturday of the month, January through November.
There is no meeting in December.
Visitors are most welcomed.

Membership:
Anyone interested in genealogy is invited to become a member of the Muscatine
County Genealogical Society. Membership is not confined to
those residing in Muscatine or to those who have Muscatine ancestors.

Dues:
January 1 – December 31
Single $10.00 -- Family (same household) $15.00

Research Service:
Members of the Society offer their research services for a fee. Services include
obtaining Muscatine County Court Records such as Vital Records, Real Estate
Transactions, Probate, Naturalization documents. Also going to county public
libraries to obtain copies of articles published in area newspapers, etc.
