MILLS

Amos Mills was born on a farm in Indiana, and moved to Earlham, Iowa when a young man. He married Ella Gno there, and they came to near Elliott to make their home. They lived in Elliott two years, then bought the 80 acres just north of Pilot Grove Church, where they lived the rest of their lives. They had two boys, one died while very young. Fred, who was born in 1877, lived on the same farm all his life, and took care of his parents. He married Eva Roberts. Amos Mills had a brother and two sisters, who lived in Elliott for awhile, then bought the 80 acres that Lary's owned, later sold it to Geo. DeWitt and moved to Kansas. The Mills' are buried in Pilot Grove Cemetery.
