JOHN KINNEY

  John and Catherine Kinney were early settlers in Montgomery Co. John was born in County Cork, Ireland; and came to America in his youth. The family home was east of Elliott, what is now known as the Peck farm. They were parents of seven children: Alonzo, William D., Victor Emanuel., Henry, Charles J., James Newton and May.

    Mr. and Mrs. Kinney moved from Montgomery County to Perry, Oklahoma, where they lived the remainder of their lives. Two sons Charles and James, continued to live and raise their families in the Elliott vicinity.
