NELLIE GAMMELL

     Nellie Gammell, daughter of William Gammell lived southeast of Elliott.

     She worked at the Elliott Postoffice under Henry Barnes for nine years.

     She married L. C. Rose at Lewis. They had two daughters, Pearl and Harriett. The father passed away in 1914. Nellie later married John Casper of Winterset, they had one son, Bob.

     She lives with her step-son in Winterset, Iowa. She will be 103 years old Aug. 9, 1979.
