Joe Brown Dead.
Joseph Brown, an old settler of
Pilot Grove township, died at his home last Thursday morning,
January 5, 1911. He was born in Germany, April 4th, 1831
and was 79 years, 9 months, and 1 day old at the time of his death.
He came to America in 1864 and the same year was
married to Kunigunda Reuter who survives him. In 1878 he came to
Iowa and has resided on his Pilot Grove farm ever since.
The funeral services were conducted at the Pilot
Grove M. E. church on Saturday afternoon by Rev. J. W. Stokesbury,
the pastor. Interment was made in the Pilot Grove Center Cemetery.
