Died in Algona
Augusta Bankson,
for many years a resident of Red Oak, died Jan. 1, 1923, in Algona and the
remains were brought here for burial; funeral services from the Sellergren
funeral home being held Jan. 4. Rev. A. Lundberg, of the Mission church,
preached the sermon. Pallbearers were A. H. Remy, J. E. Gochenour, J. M.
McDonald, Frank Evans, Walter Draper and J. E. Combs. Burial was in Red Oak (Evergreen)
cemetery. Deceased was born in Sweden, Oct. 30, 1833, and was married to Gustaf
Bankson who died here in 1922. Three children survive, John, of Council Bluffs,
Frank of Algona, and Ed of Des Moines
