Aged Stanton Man Died March 19th [?]

Old Resident of Stanton Died at Home of His Son at the Extreme Age
of Ninety-Six Years.

Stanton, March 23 --
      The death of Charles J. Anderson, 96, occurred at the home of his son, Harry Anderson, in Stanton, Friday afternoon, March 18 [?], at 4 o'clock, after illness of two months of old age complications.

      The funeral service was held from the Sellergren funeral home in Red Oak Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock, with Rev. A. Leonard Smith of Stanton Lutheran church officiating, and interment was in the Mamrelund cemetery at Stanton.

     Deceased was born in Sweden Oct. 1, 1841, and came to America in 1869, coming direct to Montgomery county, which had been his home since that time.  He was married May 5, 1875, in Stanton, to Nellie Trulson, his wife dying in 1881.  Three children survive as follows  Mrs. John ----pilton, Maryville, Mo., Harry T. Anderson, Stanton, Iowa, and Mrs. Esther Stelluage,  M--l-rasio Springs, Colo.  He is also survived by several grandchildren and two great grandchildren.  Mr. Anderson was a farmer in his life but was engaged in business in Stanton most of his later years until he retired from active business.
