These photos are from old newspapers, "The Red Oak Express". They were found in the scrapbook of Dessie Johnson Bollier, great granddaughter of Hiram Elwood and granddaughter of Ira Bolt, early residents of Montgomery County.
These photos are not in the best condition, but we feel they deserve a prominent place in Montgomery County History.
Ready for the Mexican Border Service:
Company M lined up for in formation, on the Red Oak Post Office steps. This was just before going to the train for duty on the Mexican border in June 1916.

(little boy at the front of the unit) is Adam Ross, son of Lloyd D. Ross, who commanded the unit. Adair is carrying the air rifle.
