Peters - Larson
With the home prettily decorated for the occasion, and a company of about 50 invited guests present, Miss Emily Larson, daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. Andrew P. Larson, was married Wednesday evening, September 27, to Mr. John Luther Peters, of Collegeport, Texas Rev. L. W. A. Bjorkman, of
the Swedish Mission church, of Red Oak, performed the wedding ceremony, which took place at 8 o'clock. Miss Ebba Peters, a sister of the groom,
and Miss Signa Anderson, a cousin of the bride, were the bridesmaids and Axel Johnson, cousin of the bride were groomsmen. Miss Grace Selander,
of Malmo, Nebraska, played the wedding march. Mr. and Mrs. Victor Johnson (Mrs. Johnson a sister of the bride) were here from Emerson to attend the
wedding.
Following the ceremony, and the expression of good wishes, an elaborate wedding supper was served. There were many handsome and useful
wedding presents. Mr. Peters, who now lives on a farm which he recently bought near Colleport, Texas, was formerly for many years a resident of
Red Oak, being employed in the tailor shop of J. H. Pogge. His prospects for success in the South are good. His bride is well known here.
They have the best wishes of a host of friends. Mr. and Mrs. Peters will remain here for a visit of several days with relatives and friends,
leaving Tuesday, Oct 3, for their home near Collegeport.
