Growing and Progressing With

Stanton is located about eight miles from the seat of in the heart of a rich agriculture area. Founded by hearty pioneers largely of Swedish stock, the pleasant Stanton community has grown and prospered for 83 years.  Its residents have constantly contributed to the economic, social and spiritual advance of . Stanton is on a paved highway two miles south of highway 34 and the town itself is all paved -- 36 blocks of concrete pavement.  It has its own city water system -- boosted in 1953 by a new high-production well -- electricity, a complete sewage system, a public library, and is on the main line of the C. B. & Q. railroad. Stanton's business street, "Broad avenue," is lighted by new mercury-vapor street lights. All other streets are lighted, too.

Another "pride" of Stanton is its excellent college-accredited 12-grade public school, which emphasizes those subjects needed to develop efficient farm and farm-home production. Stanton's citizens realize that towns grow where farms prosper and that we can all grow more. Its school and its businesses are pledged to the advancement of agriculture and better farm life. A fine, large gymnasium is used regularly for the physical improvement of its young people.

Stanton is a wonderful place to live -- ask anyone who lives here now -- and is near enough to other Montgomery county cities as to make commuting from home to job simple.  In the past years, Stanton has grown with -- it will continue to grow and prosper, as will, we are confident, .

Church activities help Stanton's adults and children to be joyful and content in "The Little White City with the Two White Churches." The two Christian centers have more than 1,500 total communicant members.
