       James Wilson was born 20 May 1828, Westmoreland County, PA, the son of Abraham and Sarah Jane (Chalmers) Wilson. Married Margaret Carson, 16 Jun 1858 in Parris, Washington Co., PA; ceremony conducted by Reverend John Calhoun. Margaret, born 13 Feb 1838 in New Manchester (Pughtown), Hancock County, WV, was the daughter of William and Martha (Haney) Carson. She was the granddaughter of Samuel Carson. James & Margaret's first home was in Hancock Co., WV, near New Cumberland. From 12 Aug 1862 to 16 Jun 1865, James served as a Corporal in the Civil War with Co I, 12th Reg WVa Inf. Vol. He enlisted in Manchester, West Virginia. Margaret died 14 Mar 1925; James 10 Jul 1909; both buried in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Cameron, Missouri.

Nora Ann Wilson died at age 26 in 1894. Never Married. Etta Mae Wilson (twin), born 14 Apr 1870 near Stennett, Iowa (Montgomery Co.). Married David Redman.
Eva Margaret (twin), born 14 Apr 1870 near Stennet, Iowa (Montgomery Co.). Married John D. Maze.
Theodore Benton Wilson, born 9 May 1872, Red Oak, Iowa. Married Gertrude Steele.
Samuel Abram Wilson, born DeKalb Co., Missouri (Garden Prairie Community). Married Mary Ella O'Connor.
Thomas Hartford Wilson, born 10 Nov 1877, Westrope Ranch, Grant, Iowa. Married Rachel Jane Reed. Lived Elliott/Griswold, Iowa.

(Moved to Missouri in 1868; traveled on Allegheny & Ohio Rivers.)

     James Wilson - "During this period from August 12, 1862 to June 16, 1865, James served as a corporal in the Civil War with Co I, 12th Reg. W. VA. Inf. Vol. He had enlisted in Manchester, West Virginia."

DECLARATION FOR PENSION.
THE PENSION CERTIFICATE SHOULD NOT BE FORWARDED WITH THE APPLICATION.

On this 25th day of February, A. D. one thousand nine hundred and Seven personally appeared before me, a Notary Public within and for the county and State aforesaid, James Wilson, who, being duly sworn according to law, declares that he is 78 years of age, and a resident of county of DeKalb, State of Missouri; and that he is the identical person who was ENROLLED at New Manchester West Virginia under the name of James Wilson on the 12th day of August, 1862, as a Private in Co. I. 12th. Regt, West Virginia Infty Vol in the service of the United States, in the Civil war, and was HONORABLY DISCHARGED at Richmond Virginia, on the 16th day of June, 1865.
     That he was not employed in the military or naval service of the United States otherwise than as stated above. That his personal description at enlistment was as follows: Height, 5 feet 10 inches; complexion Sandy; color of eyes, Grey; color of hair, Sandy; that his occupation was Brick Maker; that he was born May 20th, 1828, at West Moreland Co. Penn.
     That his several places of residence since leaving the service have been as follows: from Virginia to Washington Co Penn in 1867 from there to Montgomery Co Iowa in 1868 from Iowa to DeKalb Co Mo in 1883 lived here ever Since
That he is a pensioner. That he has heretofore applied for pension that his Certificate No is 591350
     That he makes this declaration for the purpose of being placed on the pension roll of the United States under the provisions of the act of February 6, 1907.
     That his post-office address is Cameron, county of Clinton State of Missouri
