R.R., is a village of over 500 population, in Jackson Township, Monroe County, 15 miles west of Albia, the county seat, and equal distance east of Chariton and 115 west of Burlington. The village has a grist mill, a public school, Catholic and Methodist churches, and exports live stock, corn and oats. The nearest banks are at Albia and Chariton. Express, Am. Telegraph, Western Union. Mail daily.
