Lost Creek Coal Mine

Monkey's Nest Coal Mine
Monkey's Nest, which started in 1899 or 1900, was just south of Lost Creek.
While only a small acreage was worked it was probably the most profitable
coal venture in the county.
The mine was owned by Daniel Riegel, George Fraker, and H.L. Spencer.
