Xavier Lennie was born in France.The Son of Louis Joseph Lennes, who was born May, 21 1823, In Baileux, Mons,Hainaut, Belguim.
In 1888 Xavier came to the U.S. with his Wife Marie, and his Brothers Noah, Emil, and Loui.He had 10 children,the oldest born in France
and of the other 9, 4 were born in Mahaska County, and 5 were born in Monroe County. He was a Coal Miner at What Cheer Coal Mine for 40 years as well as working at Rex 5,Old Rizerville, and the Mahaska County mines.
