SIMMONS, ORR, SHANNON, KREGER, TYSON, ROWLAND
I am originally from Onawa. I am working and living in Kansas; my family still lives in Onawa. They are Sharon ADKINS who is my mother and my Grandparents Susie SIMMONS and Margaret KREGER. I have asked my Grandma SIMMONS for any information she has on my Grandpa SIMMONS' brother Warren SIMMONS. Warren was killed in W.W.II. My grandfather William SIMMONS (Sticks) passed away in November and I was never able to find much out. Their parents were Claud and Bertha (ROWLAND) SIMMONS. I think they originally were from somewhere in Arkansas but I am not real sure. I do know that Claud, Bertha, Warren, and Sticks are all buried in the Onawa Cemetery. Warren is buried by the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. I would like to know how I can find out the information that I need to do a family history for the SIMMONS and ORR sides of my father's family and the SHANNON, KREGER, and TYSON sides of my mother's family. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

McCARVILLE, ARMSTRONG, HUFF, LANE
I was raised primarily around Castana until age 11 when I moved to California. I have a lot of research to do in Monona County. Relatives on my mothers side settled there in about 1876. They were the McCARVILLE family and farmed near Blencoe for many, many years. The ARMSTRONG family goes back to the NE/IA area about 1870. I am also trying to locate the family of Clarence HUFF who go back quite a distance also. I am also searching for the family of Grace LANE who are from the NE/IA area from at least as far back as 1908.
