Mrs. Edna Staley and Gretta, and Helen Stewart, all of McIntire, and Mrs. George Shepard, of Fredrick, Wisconsin, left Saturday for Broadhead, Wisconsin, to visit Mrs. Staley's sister, Mrs. Amos Steward, and family and to take Helen Stewart home. She has been attending school here the past year. Mrs. Staley and daughter expect to return home this week. Mrs. Oliver Gooder and Lester are visiting Mrs. Gladys Gooder in Waterloo this week. J. T. Vaughn, who had been at the hospital at Iowa City, returned home Monday. Mrs. Allie Beebe, an old-time resident of McIntire, passed away at 3 a.m. Monday. The funeral was held Wednesday at 2 p.m. from the Methodist church and interment was in the local cemetery. Mrs. Eva Shupe and granddaughter, Ina Jacobs called on friends in Riceville Tuesday. Mrs. Elmer Morris has been ill the past few weeks with a throat ailment. William Hall, who is employed at Winona, and three friends visited his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Hall, a few days last week. Mr. Henry Erger was in Osage Monday afternoon. Mrs. Kate Leslie visited at the home of her son, Walter, in Lyle a few days last week. Mrs. Crosset and little daughter, of Milwaukee, are guests of the formers' parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Gabby, near McIntire. Howard Shipman, of Austin, visited the home folks Sunday. Clifford Coffee is very ill at the home of his sister, Mrs. John Errington. Mitchell County Press
