Mr. C.R. Fry, of the Children's Aid Sociey, of New York city, expects to arrive in Osage, Saturday, Oct. 30th, with a party of boys, whom he wishes to place in homes with farmers. Those wishing to make application for boys, will please apply to Mr. Whitney, at the Dunton House. Applicants must be know to some of the committee of reference, or must be provided with recommendations. The following gentlemen will act as committee: A. Hitchcock, Dr. Chase, Prof. A. Bush, Rev. T.O. Douglas, A. Howard, G.M. Stoughton, M.M. Browne, T.M. Atherton, D.B. Cotton, and J.H. Brush. Mr. Fry very much regretted the circumstances by which he disappointed those who applied for boys in August last, and he then promised to bring a party here this fall, and he now proposes to redeem that promise. |
