Account of Merna Coonradt-Helfter Wedding in Wis.
The following account from the society columns of a Sheboygan, Wis., paper gives the particulars of the marriage of Mrs. Merna Helfter, whose husband is from the New Haven neighborhood. Both had been working at Sheboygan for some time previous to their marriage.
"Miss Merna Coonradt, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Coonradt, of Osage, Iowa, and John Helfter, son of Mr. and Mrs. George Helfter, also of Osage, Iowa, were united in marriage, Monday, April 13, at St. Mary’s church, Father Goezel officiating.
"The bride wore a gown of powder blue canton crepe, with a hat to correspond. Her flowers consisted of pink roses.
"Mr. and Mrs. Albert Ginsterblum, were the attendants of the couple. Mrs. Ginsterblum wore a gown of tan crepe.
"After the ceremony a three-course breakfast was served to a number of friends of the couple at the Ginsterblum home.
"The couple left on a honeymoon trip to Milwaukee, and upon their return will be at home in this city after April 20, at 414 Wisconsin avenue."
Loomis-Pint

Miss Helen Pint, who for some time has been cashier at the Colonial theatre, was married a week ago to Lee Loomis, of Oakdale, N.D. The ceremony was performed by the bride’s pastor, the Rev. E.H. Koster, at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Pint. Mrs. Loomis was raised in Osage, and attended our schools. Her husband is a brother of Clifford Loomis, and is working a farm near Oakdale with him. Mr. and Mrs. Loomis left by car for that place.

AGEN-GALLAGHER

At St. Joseph's Cathedral, Buffalo, New York, by Rev. Dr. Quighley, Miss Kittie E. Gallagher of East Java, New York, and Mr. John B. Agen of Osage, Iowa. Miss Kittie is a lady of genial disposition and bright intellect, one of our most successful country teachers. Her pleasant ways made her a favorite with all, and we sincerely hope in her new life and home they will have no clouds but all sunshine and be truly happy. (Warsaw N.Y. Times)
Mr. Agen and his beautiful bride arrived at Osage last Thursday evening, and were met at the depot by a large party of friends to welcome them to their new home. In the evening the sixth reg't band assembled and gave the happy couple a delightful serenade.

At the residence of the bride's mother, at Osage, Iowa, Tuesday, September, 16, 1884, by Rev. S. W. Ingham, Mr. Edward Oswin of Sioux City, Iowa, and Mrs. Jennie Hendrickson of this city.
Many relatives of the bride and groom were present at this happy event. The newly wedded couple immediately after the ceremony took the cars for Chicago on a wedding tour. They expect to return to Osage to reside in about ten days. They received a bountiful supply of wedding presents and good wishes from all.

St. Ansgar Couple Wed Here Rev. R. E. Brown Solemnizes Wedding of Hattie Springer and Walter Ball August 10.
The Rev. Rolla E. Brown, of the local Baptist church, was called on to solemnize the wedding of a popular St. Ansgar couple August 10, at the parsonage.
The bride was Miss Hattie Springer, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jerry M. Springer and the groom is Mr. Walter A. Ball, son of James C. Ball. They will make their home on a farm in Union township.

CASSIDY-SNOWDEN

The marriage Wednesday morning August 27th, of Miss Edith Snowden to Mr. Frank L. Cassidy, was witnessed by a large number of friends. The Congregational Church was prettily decorated and well filled.
The audience stood during the impressive ceremony which was preformed by the bride's father, Rev. James Edgar Snowden, pastor of the church. Rev. Mr. Cassidy, father of the groom offered the prayer. The Episcopal marriage service was used, and the troth was plighted with the ring.
CARROLL-HELFTER
Circa September 1917
Miss Gertrude Helfter and Mr. Henry Carroll were married at the Sacred Heart church on Monday morning, the Rev. Father J. P. Martin officiating. They, in company with Mr. Carroll's mother, Mrs. Peter Carroll, have left for Salt Lake City, Utah, on a wedding trip. Returning here, they will probably reside on the groom's farm, near New Haven.
The bride is the daughter of George Helfter, of this City. The Helfters resided at Little Cedar prior to moving here and have also lived at Riceville and Stacyville. At these places, as well as in Osage, she has a great many friends. She is an accomplished young lady--both in an educational way and in the more noble and important affairs of home-making.
The groom has lived in New Haven, Riceville, and Little Cedar. For a time he was associated with Mr. Helfter in the creamery business. He is known for his energy, ability, and general good nature.

ANGELL-TIBBETS

Miss Ella Tibbets, of this city, was married on Thursday at the home of Mrs. Mary Hewitt at Albert Lea, Minn., to Mr. Elmer Angell, Rev. Hoag, officiating. They will live in Clarksville, where the groom has a position in a garage.
The couple were accompanied by Miss Bessie Tibbets, of Osage and Roland Lumm of Clarksville. The trip was made in the groom's car, both to Albert Lea and Clarksville.
Though the groom is not known here, we are told that he is a fine young man and a capable mechanic. He is the son of Mr. L. Angell of Clarksville.
The bride has many friends here among the young people. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Tibbets. She has taught school in this county, and for the past year has taught at Clarksville.

CRETSINGER-RUSHFELDT

A very pretty wedding occurred at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Cretsinger near Orchard, Wednesday noon, August 29, when their daughter, Miss Bessie was happily united in marriage to Mr. W. L. Rushfeldt, of Albert Lea Minn. The ring ceremony was performed by Rev. A. R. Rice of Waverly, Iowa. Forty quests were present.
The bride and groom are former students of Ames. Mr. Rushfield is a graduate Iowa State college. Mr. and Mrs. V. L. Rushfeldt left immediately for Albert Lea, where they will be at home to their friends after September 5.

STELTER-GULLIVER
The latest wedding is that of Miss Laura Gulliver and Mr. Herman Stelter. They were married at the Baptist parsonage by the Rev. Rolla E. Brown, early this afternoon. They go to Minneapolis to spend a few days on a wedding trip, and will return here to go to housekeeping on a farm West of the city.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Gulliver and has a great many friends in the city and vicinity. The groom is the son of William Stelter and is a young farmer of excellent repute.
