Tubbs, Shipman, Birdsall, and Evans Families Entertained Past Week

The past ten days were gay and festive ones for the Tubbs, Shipman, Birdsall, and Evans families and many reunions were in evidence. Dr. and Mrs. R.B. Tubbs entertained with a 6 o'clock dinner at their home northeast of Emerson followed by games until the storm sent the guests homeward.

Dr. and Mrs. W.G. Alexander of Evanston, Ill. gave a 1 o'clock luncheon at Hotel Johnson in Red Oak for this group of relatives.

The following day Mr. and Mrs. E.B. Birdsall entertained at their home on East Hill. This was followed by moving pictures, the product of Dr. Alexander's camera, who had followed "The Lincoln Trail" wherever the Lincoln family had lived and wherever monuments have been erected to the great emancipator, closing with a view of the beautiful memorial building in Washington, D.C.

Those attending were: Mr. and Mrs. V.V. Tubbs of Tustin, Calif., Mr. and Mrs. W. G. Alexander of Evanston, Ill., Mr. and Mrs. F.F. McArthur of Oakland, Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Rhoads of Glenwood, Mr. and Mrs. M.L. Evans, Dr. and Mrs. R.B. Tubbs, Mr. and Mrs. R.M. Shipman, and Mr. and Mrs. E.B. Birdsall of Emerson. Mr. and Mrs. V.V. Tubbs started on their homeward journey Tuesday. Dr. and Mrs. W.G. Alexander, Mr. and Mrs. M.L. Evans, and Mr. and Mrs. Fred McArthur accompanied them through the Ozarks. Mr. and Mrs. M.L. Evans returned home Friday evening.
