ANOTHER HAPPY FAMILY REUNION HELD ON SUNDAY

The Glenwood Lake park was the scene of another happy family gathering on last Sunday at which time the descendants of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Stroud gathered to the number of about a half a hundred. They enjoyed a bountiful picnic dinner together at the noon hour and a very pleasant afternoon spent in games and with reminiscent conversation.

Among those present were the four daughters of Mr. and Mrs. Stroud; Mrs. Wilbur Thompson and husband and children of South Omaha, Mrs. Len Wilkinson and husband and children of Shenandoah; Mrs. Dorman Wilson and husband and daughter of Shenandoah; Mrs. Herbert Evans and husband and children, Dwayne, Glen, Iroline and May; Floyd Evans and wife; Ted Lee and wife and little son, all of Glenwood; Mr. and Mrs. McCall of Peru, Mr. and Mrs. George Dundson and children, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Clark and children of Tabor; Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Noel; and Mrs. Cross of Council Bluffs, Mrs. Frank Thompson of South Omaha and Miss Freida Spade of Shenandoah.


STROUD FAMILY REUNION HELD IN OMAHA SUNDAY

August 20, 1934

The Stroud family reunion was held at Riverview park in Omaha on Sunday, Aug. 19. At noon a bountiful basket dinner was served which everyone enjoyed. The little folks enjoyed the slides, swings and animals, while the older ones played tennis and renewed acquaintances, after which they all went to the home of Mr. and Mrs. W.A. Thompson in Omaha and served ice cream and cake.

Five sisters and their families composed this happy gathering. Those present were: Mr. and Mrs. L.E. Wilkinson of Shenandoah, Mrs. John McCrary of Toledo, Mrs. Faye Donahue and Charles Black of Clearfield, Mr. and Mrs. H.E. Evans of Adair, Mr. and Mrs. W.A. Thompson and family, Mr. and Mrs. I.G. Randall, Mrs. Ray Hardin and children, Miss Dorothy James, Rex Donahue, B. Harvey and Mrs. Pamelia Thompson, all of Omaha; Mr. and Mrs. Ed McCall and children of Lincoln, Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Evans, Mr. and Mrs. Dwayne Evans and family, Mr. and Mrs. Glen Evans, Irolene Evans, all of Council Bluffs, and Mrs. Ted Lee and children of Glenwood with Mrs. Everett Haines of Missouri Valley as guest of the day.


FAMILY REUNION AT STROUD HOME SUNDAY

July 19, 1945

Mr. and Mrs. Robert Stroud were hosts to a family reunion Sunday at their home on Marion avenue. With the exception of one son-in-law, who is in service, their family circle was complete. Visiting and taking family group pictures occupied the afternoon hours.

Present for this happy occasion were Mrs. John Christianson and daughter Carol, Betty June Stroud. Betty Bullock of Omaha, Lillian Sturgeon of Council Bluffs, Mr. and Mrs. C.W. Stroud of Tabor, Mrs. Jennie Hixson, Fern Stroud, Mr. and Mrs. Leland Stroud and two sons and Mrs. Roxie Stroud of Malvern and Mr. and Mrs. Howard Hunt of Arlington, Va.
