Another enjoyable family reunion was held at the Lake park here Sunday was that of the Scott family who gathered to donor to Mother W.H. Scott. Among those present to enjoy that sumptuous basket dinner and pleasant fellowship together were Clyde Scott and family of Macedonia. Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Shaw of Carson, Mr. and Mrs. Norton of Malvern, Mrs. Wm. Sides of Carson, Mrs. Lew Foggerty of Melrose, Ia., James Scott and family, James Phillips, Mrs. M.E. Hammond and Leonard Hammond all of Glenwood.
SCOTT AND NEWTON FAMILY REUNION

The first reunion of the Scott and Newton families was held at the Glenwood Park Sunday. There were a goodly number present many coming from some distance and it was an enjoyable day for all present. A sumptuous dinner was enjoyed at the noon hour and as one who was present told us, they have five bushels of fried chicken and it all vanished and along with it went the other choice articles which go to make such a picnic feast complete. This was the first reunion of these families and while they did not prefect a permanent organization or elect officers yet they decided to try and make such an assemblage an annual affair and the reunion next year will probably be held in Macedonia.

SCOTT FAMILY REUNION IN TABOR LAST SUNDAY

The fourth annual reunion of the John and Margaret Scott families, pioneers of southwest Iowa, was held at Tabor last Sunday.
Owing to the dry weather and poor shade in the park it was held in the enclosed driveway of the Fullerton Lumber Co., of which Geo. Scott is manager.
Long tables were arranged and were filled to the limit with fried chicken and all of the trimmings that go with them to make a bountiful feast. After all were filled a short business meeting was held and then all went to the George Scott home where the afternoon was spent in visiting.
There were 40 present. The following officers were elected for next year: President, Lester Anthony, Glenwood; vice president, John Carr, Silver City; secretary and treasurer, Bessie Shaw, Glenwood.
It was voted to hold the reunion next year the second Sunday in August, which will be Aug. 11. Also a vote of thanks to the Fullerton Lumber Co. for the use of their building.

RELATIVES OF PRICE FAMILY GATHER FOR ELEVENTH ANNUAL EVENT

Ninety relatives met at the home of Mrs. L.L. Scott in Emerson Sunday for the 11th annual reunion and picnic dinner of the Price family. Seven of the nine children of the late Rev. and Mrs. W.F. Price are living. all of whom were present for the day and came from Nebraska, Colorado and Iowa.
Rev. Price was a pioneer M.F. minister of southwest Iowa and his oldest child is 81 and the youngest 66 with an average age of 73.
Members of the immediate family are Mrs. Elizabeth Hascall, Emerson; Mrs. Alice Ross, Audubon; Mrs. Belle Parker, Essex; Mrs. Eutie Scott, Emerson; Will Price, Laurel, Nebr.; Mrs. Eugenia Scott, Denver, Colo.; Mrs. Nellie Bush, Council Bluffs.

The annual Scott reunion was held at the Glenwood Park, August 15. Out of a membership of fifty-three, twenty-seven were present. Seven were away in Service. After a business meeting Mrs. Ollie Scott Connor of Omaha was elected president and Mrs. Florence Wedberg, Secretary.
Those present were Mr. and Mrs. George Scotland, son of Myrul, Mr. and Mrs. Leon Scott and sons, Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Blackburn and daughter, Norma Lee, Mr. and Mrs. Bert Connor, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Wedberg and daughter Kay, Mr. and Mrs. Lester Anthony, Mr. and Mrs. Joeha Hayter, Leona an Carol and Mrs. S.B. SCOTT REUNION HELD AT THE VERNER SCOTT’S

Sunday, Sept. 10th the Scott tribe gathered at Verner Scott’s northeast of Glenwood, for a co-op picnic. They were viz, Mrs. Sadie Scott, the venerable mother, grandmother and great grandmother, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Scott and Miss Jean Johnson all of Waverly, Neb., Mr. and Mrs. Walter Scott and Mr. and Mrs. Donald Bast of Clarinda, and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Scott, Delores, Russel and Carolyn of Farragut, and Mr. and Mrs. Verner Scott of Glenwood.
They brought baskets of fried chicken and rabbit, cake and pies, and these combined with the vegetables and fruit from the Scotts Victory garden made an abundant feast.
The war cut the gathering in half. None of the families of the four men in service were present, nor was Chas. N. Scott, Verner’s brother who works in the Industrial Alcohol plant at Omaha able to get off. But Corp. Walter Burton Scott, winner of the Second Congressional Award given in World War II is believed to be on his way home. His family live in Clarinda, and he is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Walter O. Scott. Like many other families this one is looking eagerly forward to a reunion with its sons in service.

Thirty-four persons attended the 23rd annual reunion of the family of Mr. and Mrs. Jim Scott at the Glenwood Lake Park on Sunday, August 8.

Osborn, Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Harris and Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Anthony and Yvonne, all of Glenwood; Mr. and Mrs. Myron Connor and sons and Mr. and Mrs. Earl Wedburg and daughters, all of Omaha; Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Blackburn of Sidney; Mr. and Mrs. Scott Blackburn of Council Bluffs; Mr. and Mrs. Homer Eckly of Emerson, Mrs. Leon Scott of Villisca, Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Scott of Pacific Junction, and Mr. and Mrs. John Barber and family of Jefferson.
Oldest descendant in attendance was Lester Anthony. Youngest was David Barber.
SCOTT FAMILY MET IN REUNION SUNDAY

The reunion of the John and Jane Grey Scott was held Sunday, August 21st with 33 present.
J.L. Anthony was elected president and Mrs. L.L. Blackburn of Sidney, was elected secretary-treasurer.
Mr. and Mrs. Leon Scott of Jackson, Minn., came the longest distance, J.L. Anthony was the oldest member present and Christy Hammer of Silver City, was the youngest.
